In
Depth Studies and the Art of Teaching is
an inter-disciplinary, 15 month course and is much more
than a teacher training. The
program is for experienced yoga practitioners ready
to make a commitment to deepening their understanding
of philosophical and postural yoga. It is also for teachers
and aspiring teachers wanting to take what they know
in practice and learn the skills of teaching this timeless
tradition to others.
The Art of Teaching Course consists of:
• 13 weekends (Saturday
11-7pm, & Sunday
1-6pm)
at 29 Harvard St., Brookline Village, MA
• 30 hours study with approved master teachers
• 50 classes with Barbara Benagh
• home work |

• Attendance
at 13 training weekends (Saturday and Sunday) taught by Barbara
Benagh.
William Broder will teach Basics of Sanskrit and Bharti Thakkar will offer an overview of the science of Ayurveda. Students may miss
no more than two weekends to graduate.
• 30 hours of study with
master teachers. This can include weekends with
Sarah Powers and Baxter Bell
that are sponsored by Barbara, or other teachers who
have been approved by her.
• Attendance at 50 asana classes
(approx. one per week) with Barbara Benagh during the
15 month course.
• Completion of home assignments
including home practice, reading, and writing.• Observe
or assist Barbara teaching a minimum of 10 times during
the course |

includes 13 training weekends and fifty 90 minute classes*
with Barbara Benagh between October 1, 2011– January

• please add $250 if you will be attending the
Tuesday 2 hour class as your weekly class requirement
• Tuition for the 30 hours with Master teachers
is not included and is due at registration upon enrollment
for each class.
• Reading materials are also not included.

A
$100 non-refundable fee is due with application. The balance
of $3450 is due upon acceptance to the program.. The fee can be made
in two payments of $1775; one due upon acceptance and
the second due by January 1, 2012. (Major
Credit Cards are accepted)
During this course your yoga practice will mature and you'll make great friends. The course is also time consuming. Your commitment is appreciated.

Longtime
area yoga teacher, Barbara Benagh has
practiced and taught yoga for over 35 years. She discovered
yoga while living in England and began teaching there.
She moved to Boston and owned The Yoga Studio on Beacon
Hill from 1980 to 2003. She now teaches in Brookline Village, Samara Yoga and Down Under Yoga.
She is a regular contributor
to Yoga Journal as a writer and presenter at Conferences. She
has several audio CDs of live classes available and 5
DVDs for Body Wisdom Media.
Barbara's classes are
technical, slow paced sequence that are physically
challenging, expertly led, and meditative.

William Broder studied Linguistics at
Princeton and has taught languages, including Sanskrit,
for over 20 years. He has over 2000 hours of bodywork
training and is certified as a Feldenkrais Practitioner,
Rolfer, and Yoga Teacher. Whether teaching anatomy
or Sanskrit, William has a gift for bringing these subjects
to life.
Bharti Thakkar is a graduate of Barbara's Art of Teaching course. She is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. |
